Hey there! đź‘‹
I'm Jokūbas Sabaliauskas

Good design shouldn’t be confusing. I keep things clear, functional, and maybe even enjoyable (crazy, I know).

Web design

Crafting digital experiences, one site at a time.

About me

I’m a digital product designer with a knack for making complex things simple (and good-looking while I’m at it). My toolkit? Figma, Adobe Suite, and a sprinkle of front-end magic—JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. I also love no-code solutions like Webflow, Framer and Relume because efficiency is my love language.
‍
At my core, I’m a problem solver. Whether I’m refining a user flow or trying to beat my personal best in chess, I thrive on strategy and creativity. Speaking of which—when I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me carving up the streets on my longboard, binging an absurdly good TV show, or laughing way too hard at my own jokes.

My Journey

I started in graphic design, mastering the art of visual storytelling. That led me to marketing strategy, where I learned how to capture attention (without resorting to clickbait—most of the time). But everything clicked when I found UX/UI design—the perfect mix of creativity, psychology, and problem-solving.
‍
Now, I draw on that mix of experiences to create digital experiences that are clear, thoughtful, and easy to use. I aim for designs that not only function well but feel right—guided by a balance of data, user feedback, and a bit of instinct.

Alongside working on all kinds of projects, I’m always learning and leveling up. I’ve recently completed additional courses in front-end development and web design—and I’m constantly on the lookout for what’s next.

2018 - 2019

Visetas | Graphic Designer

I began my career at Visetas, where I applied my studies in Applied Graphics—branding, typography, layout, and storytelling. At Visetas, I managed the branding for Žalgiris Kaunas basketball team, creating accreditations, posters, advertisements, and other materials. This experience taught me that effective design goes beyond aesthetics; it's about transforming ideas into engaging experiences, leading me to digital product design.

TOPsport | Marketing Specialist

At TOPsport, I found myself at the intersection of marketing and design—basically, where creativity meets “let’s make sure this actually works.” I learned how design influences behavior and how to balance aesthetics with strategy. It was all about creating campaigns that looked great and made people take action.
Then, Lithuania introduced a new ban on gambling ads. With creativity officially outlawed (at least in this space), I decided it was time to move on rather than watch my design skills slowly wither away.

Kilo Health | Graphic Designer

I started at Kilo Health as a graphic designer, churning out 50+ ads a day like a well-oiled machine (or maybe just a very tired one). After three months of this grind, I knew I needed a change. I got a taste of product design—just one day a week at first—and that was enough to convince me. Over the next few months, I made the full switch, leaving the ad factory behind to focus on creating digital experiences that actually mattered.

Kilo Health | Product Designer

After switching to product design, I started out designing marketing-driven landing pages—experimenting with different angles to see what resonated with users. That eventually led me to working with the CRO team, where I helped optimize conversion rates through A/B testing. One of my biggest wins? Redesigning the checkout process and boosting sales by 30% in just one quarter. After that, I made the full transition to app design, diving deep into creating user experiences that didn’t just look good but actually worked.

Freelance Web & Digital Product Designer

Freelancing threw me into a mix of industries—medical, gambling, fashion—you name it. It also pushed me deeper into front-end and no-code solutions, forcing me to think beyond visuals and focus on how users actually interact with digital products. Every project reinforced the same truth: good design should just make sense.

KaiSense | Product Designer

At KaiSense, I took on the challenge of designing an AI-powered fitness app for athletes. To make something truly useful, I had to dive into their world—talking to coaches, studying routines, and figuring out what actually matters to them. The result? A product that didn’t just look sleek but actually fit into their high-performance lifestyle.
